Talking of Faith.......

"You know when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales? That fantasy of what your life would be – white dress, prince charming who’d carry you away to a castle on a hill. You’d lie in your bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, prince charming –they were so close you could taste them. But eventually you grow up and one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is, it’s hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope and faith that one day they would open their eyes and it would all come true. At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. Its like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And its not so important, happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you, and once in a while people may even take your breath away."
                          - Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy

For many of us, fantasy ends where adulthood begins. As we grow up, we become more practical and logical and forget how wonderful it was to believe in the unbelievable, to wish on things we now know are too good to be real and the wonders of being random.
And then again, when we do afford to be random, we realize that fantasies are indeed too good to be let go off. We like the fact that they surprise us, enchant us, mesmerise us and as Meredith says, once in a blue moon, even take our breath away.

Have Faith!!

Anthem Of The Day...

"...Misplaced trust and old friends,
Never counting regrets,
By the grace of God,
I do not rest at all...."

                     - A Drop In The Ocean by Ron Pope.

These lines are my all time favorite from this song. How many times have so many of us felt that we misplace not only materialistic things in life but also more valuable things like trust, faith and as the song goes, old friends?
Every setback is in fact a new lesson learnt every day. So, the next time you misplace your trust or an old friend, just remember, never count regrets. It was a lesson you needed and an experience that you will laugh at one day.

Happy Living!!

Welcome!!!

Dear Reader

Welcome to my blog!!

I have been writing random stuff for years now but this is the for the first time I've tried to put my thoughts in a more organised manner and for more people to read.

This space will not only have things that I write but also things that I come across in newspapers, magazines, editorials, even songs (quite often) or from my own observations while meeting people or travelling near and far.

So welcome again to my first ever blog. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I do while writing it.
